Ideas to Create Reverse Cat Eye Look for Fresh Take on Classic

Subtly changing your makeup can change your Look in a very chic way. Example: The inverted Cat’s Eye. The Look offers all the ferocity of your usual winged eyeliner, except that it is slightly inverted to draw attention to your lower lash line. The Result? A sensual and attractive cat-shaped wing under the eyes. Find a step-by-step guide in advance to get the Look.

Step 1:
Sharpen Your Pins

initial of all, choose your eyeliner pencil. Here, makeup artist Jonet Williamson used the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last waterproof eyeliner pen, a long-lasting and smudge-resistant eyeliner that lasts up to 24 hours. Williamson recommends sharpening the pen before using it and keeping a sharpener handy throughout the process so that you can sharpen the tip if it gets a little blunt.

Step 2:
Draw your lines

The point of the inverted Cat’s Eye is that the upper line is thinner than the lower line, and the wing starts at the bottom and goes up. To maintain the look, you need to keep the top line as thin as possible while focusing on highlighting the shape of your eyes. “Because I have almond-shaped eyes, I like to keep the top line as big as the tip of the pencil — very thin,” says Williamson. “For the final result, I try to make the outer corner thicker than the inner corner to round my eyes.”

Step 3:
Add wings

After sharpening the pencil again to make sure it is as sharp as possible, Williamson recommends drawing a line from the outer corner of the lower lash line upwards to the outer corner of the upper lash line. “Make sure that the thick part of the wing comes from the bottom line.”

Step 4:
Finishing with Mascara

To draw more attention to the cat’s inverted wing, Williamson applied Lancôme lash Idole Mascara only to the eyelashes of her upper line, leaving the lower eyelashes exposed.
