Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Is Only Foundation I Like

I was never a foundation girl. My Makeup Arsenal is full of BB creams, CC creams, tinted serums and any other version of breathable facial makeup that is anything but a foundation. But as we return to our “new normal”, I am trying to break old beauty habits and give a second Chance to the products that I initially toned down in the past, such as foundation. I decided to test one of the editor’s favorites – the Lancôme Teint Foundation Idol Ultra 24h Long Wear. I heard my comrade publishers as well as beauty influencers on social networks sing their praises, so I had to get my hands on a bottle. The brand kindly sent one so that I could share my experience as a person who has always had an aversion to foundations.

The Lancôme Teint Idol Ultra Foundation is praised for its 24-hour coverage formula on 24, which leaves a natural matte finish with SPF 15. The fact that it is available in 50 different shades makes it easy to find the right primer for reality. I turned on the electronic shadow detector , a virtual foundation tool to find the best foundation shade of my skin that turned out to be hot in Bisque (410).

The formula itself contains Eternalsoft polymers which, according to Lancôme, allow “increased comfort for ultra-longevity”, as well as mixture such as perlite and silica to absorb excess sebum.

My Experience

After applying the face primer, I mixed a few drops with a makeup sponge, then came back to add a few more drops for the desired coverage. The color melted wonderfully into my complexion and could superior match the makeup on my face (proof of the powers of the electronic shadow detector). I finished the rest of my makeup and made my day without ever having to stamp my T-Zone.

My favorite complexion products give me the pink look I wanted, so I was nervous about how I felt with a matte complexion. When I think of something matte, I think of matte lipstick formulas that glide on gently but tighten throughout the day, resulting in chapped lips. But a crackling complexion was not at all the thing for me here. Instead, my skin looked polished without being too dull and was comfortable enough to wear all day.

Although I’m not ready to completely get rid of my signature dewy makeup yet, I’m going to make a place in my Arsenal for this foundation. I feel like I’ve found the unicorn of primers in the Lancôme Teint Idols Ultra foundation: semi-matte but not flat, oil-absorbing and true to color.
